Woodhill Mountain Bike Park Review
Woodhill Mountain Bike Park is purpose built park.
Location 8//10
Its only 30 minutes from the centre of Auckland city. Just jump on the north western motorway till you reach the end. Then go left and follow SH16 till you see a sign for Woodhill Forest.
Facilities 7/10
-Large, safe carpark
-Female and male toilets
-Bike and gear hire
-Bike shop
-Bike mechanic
-Food and drink
-Bike wash area
-Dirt jump park
Trails 9/10
-Over 50 trails and 150km of single tracks
-200 structures
-Sand based, great for winter riding or when it has been raining
-Crowds are not a factor and you will not be held up by slower riders or over taken by faster riders too often
-Areas of flowing, wide trails with good visibility
-Well maintained
-Good variety

I have ridden at Woodhill many times, and would probably add in summer the sand gets very dry and on some track very deep, leading to some interesting riding sessions. So would recommend going during winter or after a period of rain when the sand gets harder and makes the tracks run faster.
